As the Class of 2026 prepares to graduate from South Windsor High School on June 16th, two students who helped create some of the most memorable sports moments of the year are getting ready to pass the torch.
Seniors Isaac Gerber and Eli Schwartzman have spent the past year running the South Windsor High School Rowd Crowd Instagram account, uniting students and sports to create energetic atmospheres during school games.
Through their work at making game-day graphics, to making announcements at school and promotional posts, the dynamic duo transformed the account into an army, totaling nearly 1,000 followers.
Whether it was football under Friday night lights, or a state playoff soccer game, Gerber and Schwartzman made it their mission to make sure students knew when and where to show up. More importantly, the pair had energy in their blood. The two had the ability to create home field advantages for the South Windsor teams, even at away games.
When reflecting on his favorite memory from the year, Schwartzman thought of one of the most emotional moments of the fall sports season.
“Probably the boys soccer quarterfinal game at Farmington because the team went through a lot to get there and made it an emotional win with a huge crowd despite it being an away game,” Schwartzman said.
The game showcased the spirit of South Windsor that Isaac and Eli led, initiating 100+ students and parents to travel 40 minutes away to support the soccer team.
Throughout the year, the duo spent many days promoting events through graphics. Even though the work was behind the scenes, the impact stayed the same: packing the bleachers and stands.
As graduation approaches, Gerber reflected on what the experience meant to him.
“It’s been a great ride,” Gerber told The Prowl. “Shoutout to everyone who showed up, got loud, and made every post worth making.”
While the faces behind the account may be changing and have huge shoes to fill, the culture Schwartzman and Gerber helped build will continue long after they leave South Windsor. Through their work and passion, the duo helped make the 2025-26 school year one that students and athletes will remember forever.
