This is a great place to study because it is really rare for people to stand in that location for a long period of time. This would cause less distractions.

There is a higher amount of privacy in this area, making it easier to focus on studies. The white walls are almost a barrier around you. Usually, nobody is in the room behind your desk.

The Library

The quietest place in the library, with the exception of the noise in the seminar room, is a perfectly good option for studying. People aren’t that loud in the seminar room during period 5 and 6 lunch waves. In this area of the library, you get your own desk and do not need to share a desk with anybody.

“The library, because it's quiet, has outlets, it’s big, and others have a lot of cool hiding spots.” Freshman Emily Keegan said.

The Lobby

The lobby is a great place to study because it would make your parents wait for a shorter period of time. This place is located right next to the front doors of the building, and most people’s parents pick their kids up in front of the building. Also, the lobby is an open space where there are a lot of locations for you to study.

Similarly, the open space on the far left of Mr. Camire’s room is a strong option, since it is really rare for people to stand in that location for a long period of time.

“The pendulum, because there is good scenery and it's relaxing to look at while studying.” Junior Keira Botticello said.

Many students study in the cafeteria because there are a lot of different locations you choose to study. Different locations can change how much you are able to focus depending on your mindset.

“The Cafe, because that’s where my study hall is.” Sophomore Gabrielle Guiliano said.

“Athletic study hall, because we have more time to do the work and don’t feel judged.” Sophomore Vanessa Ross said.

Sahara Martin is a Staff Writer for The Bobcat Prowl. She is a senior and she enjoys going for runs, reading, spending time with friends and family, and being a part of the SWHS Cheerleading team. After High School, Sahara plans to train to be an EMS and go to college for nursing, specifically Pediatrics.

Navya Jayaraj is a staff writer for the South Windsor High School’s newspaper The Bobcat Prowl. During her time with The Prowl, Jayaraj hopes to write stories featuring the student body. Navya enjoys reading, practicing the piano, oboe, and furthering her knowledge in math. In addition she loves speed cubing, solving puzzles, playing chess, running, and playing darts. In the future, Navya hopes that her newspaper writing will make an impact on the South Windsor community.
