Award winning escape rooms can be found at the Puzzle Theory on Kennedy Road, South Windsor, CT.
The Puzzle Theory offers a wide variety of fun, exciting escape rooms that capture the thrill of working together as a team. Each room has tons of challenging, complex puzzles that require critical thinking to pass through.
The rooms that they offer: Rebel Run, Spectral Rift, Wizard Realm, Warehouse 13, and Jungle 2, all have special perks about them that make them different from the rest.
They all differ from their group size, difficulty, theme, but they all share the common time limit of 60 minutes.
Each room additionally contains a story which adds on to the riveting, excitement of the activity. The wide variety of puzzles also makes them more available to different age groups.
One of the owners, Nicholas Toth, uses their unique puzzles to his advantage in ensuring all participants have a good experience.
“Sometimes the puzzle is there to help drive the story,” Toth said. “Sometimes a puzzle is there to fit the theme, and other times it’s there because we came up with a really cool idea and we wanted to figure out a way to implement it into a room.”
The use of fun, engaging puzzles contributes to the customer’s experience and helps add more elements of fulfillment.
Also, another way that they sort out which puzzles are definite keepers is by the customers’ reactions themselves.
“Any of the tasks that exhibit the greatest reactions, you know that you’ve got a winner with those,” Toth said.
The most memorable reaction from the customers has been the surprising turnout of around 12 marriage proposals!
The use of communication, problem solving, and teamwork is a great way to bond with others and to make everlasting memories.
Even if participants get stuck on a certain puzzle or are in need of a hint, the Puzzle Theory does a great job of getting involved without ruining the experience for the players.
The company in the past has used tablets to send hints or clues to the participants in the room. But, they have recently found an even better way to get the messages across.
“We’ve been really getting into developing audio hints that go through all the speakers at once,” Toth said. “With the audio hints, we’re trying to get a central character that they are either communicating with or the story is about, to be the one delivering the hints.”
“When they get that hint from the character, it doesn’t feel like a hint,” Toth said. “It feels like it’s part of the story, so it immerses them a little more into everything.”
These aspects of the story evaluate the escape rooms and captivate the players into this alternate reality.
If you are in need of a fun, thrilling activity to engage in with your friends, come down to the Puzzle Theory and make memorable moments come to life!
