Senior Noah Butler has been playing hockey for over 10 years and was inspired to play by center Connor Bedard. He wears #11 on the ice and plays at the center position.
“Butla is a great kid who plays with lots of confidence, and is willing to persevere through rough games to help benefit the team, ” senior Noah Sampson stated.
Not only is Butler a huge carry on the ice but also is someone his teammates look up to and helps lift team morale even when they’re down. His vision on the ice is one of a kind, and he’s one of the most unselfish players out there.
“Butla is a great teammate. He always lifts us up with good feedback and music in the locker room before games. He is a great role model for the younger players and puts in 100% effort on the ice whenever he’s playing,” junior Junior Heredia commented.
This year is Butler’s first year playing center since the team lost the majority of starters from last year which meant he had to step up, and he’s adapted to it well.
Butler is a great role model on the team and is always seeking to get better every chance he gets.
“With every practice, Noah’s confidence grew and he quickly became the star player, impressing coaches and teammates alike with his agility and strategy. His goal against East Catholic was a big one and there will be more to come, ” Bobcat Alumni Kevin Shover stated.
Butler is a one of a kind playmaker who feeds the team the puck all game and tries to give his teammates as many opportunities as possible.
“He’s a good teammate who knows what he’s doing and knows how to get the team going,” junior Josh Willoughby told The Prowl.
In the recent game against Wethersfield, Butler had a couple assists and helped clinch the win in overtime leading the ‘Cats to their 1st win of the season. Currently, the hockey team is 1-5 as they head into their next game.
The next game for the ‘Cats is this Saturday, January 11th at 8pm against Glastonbury where they hope to get another win for the season.
