East Hartford, CT – The Lady Bobcats, coming off of a 5-1 victory over Manchester, were in action on the pitch East Hartford High School today. From the start, South Windsor controlled the pace of the game after setting the tone early.

The ball got rolling a little under nineteen minutes into the match with a 25 yard strike by Karly Suppicich off a free kick for the first score of the game. Less than two minutes later, Suppicich, a sophomore, made another play happen, this time an assist to senior captain Jaylene Ferrabelo for a low corner shot, making the score 2-0. At this point, the energy on East Hartford’s side seemed to be slowly draining.

The goals just began to pile on for the Lady Bobcats as sophomore, Lindsay Fishman, assisted by Maddie Westfall, scored hitting the low corner at the 22:24 mark. South Windsor had gone on a lethal surge scoring three goals in less than four minutes.

With the score being 3-0, the East Hartford Lady Hornets struggled to even get shots at the goal. Heading into the second half, South Windsor remained on the offensive and scored their fourth goal of the afternoon at the 67:55 mark, courtesy of freshman Kelly Morson who won a one on one battle with the goalie. She was assisted by Suppicich who racked up her second assist of the contest.

Less than a minute later, the Lady Bobcats made it 5-0 with a goal by senior Olivia Bestoff, assisted by Lindsay Fishman. South Windsor capped off a shutout with an 18 yard goal by Suppicich which was her second goal of the match. The final score was 6-0, South Windsor.

The Lady Bobcats will be back in action this Friday at Windsor High School where they look to build on their undefeated streak and go 3-0.
