On October 13th, the town of South Windsor posted a Halloween Decor Tour Map to highlight some exceptional homes decorated for the spooky season.

Yesterday, my family and I took an hour out of our night to follow the South Windsor Halloween Map. This was an amazing way for the town to highlight and encourage Halloween spirit throughout the community.

The map is completely voluntary and at your own pace. I really appreciated this as we are pretty busy, but taking out an hour to tour some of the amazingly decorated homes around town was fairly easy and allowed us to still have a fun experience.

The map places South Windsor into 4 parts, and I would highly recommend making a route of the map beforehand so that you hit at least one or two houses in each part. One of the best parts was when we saw a breathtaking house and seeing the next one right next to it. There was a very creative and festive atmosphere created by these lights.

Some of my personal favorites were #5 and #19. #5 was 130 Felt Rd, and you might recognize this house for its annual Christmas lights display, but this year they showed up on the Halloween front as well!

#19 was 9 Tuttle Circle and at first glance, this home simply had a compelling array of lights and decorations, but upon further inspection, I saw that there was, in fact, a maze for viewers to enter. That specific experience was very fun, and my entire family found it interesting.

I would recommend going about this map to all families in South Windsor. Seeing the community come together for a holiday with people of all ages was heartwarming and reaffirmed the sense of pride residents have in South Windsor.
