Varsity Girls Volleyball Takes Victory Over Manchester

On Friday the lady bobcats took on Manchester High School at MHS and dominated the match. The team only needed three games to seal their victory and go home with a win.

In the first game the Bobcats were down about 20-10. The team fought hard and had a strong comeback to win. The second and third games were almost too easy for the girls and they commanded both, ending the match without the need for a fourth or fifth game.

Although this first win was a great accomplishment for the varsity team, they also suffered the loss of a strong player. Junior Katelyn Macomber injured her ankle and will be out for the remainder of the season. The team is sad to lose such a strong middle hitter from the team, but still have hope for the season.

Senior Milena Gallo commented, “Our team this year shows a lot of potential. We came back from being down 10 points in our first game of the year. We’ve continued to stay positive despite multiple team injuries.”

Gallo herself is unable to play yet this season due to injury, but is still very much a part of the team and shows support and hope for their season.
