Celtics Strong Playoff Run

Shots seem to always fall, while the game is in crunch time.

The Celtics are coming in hot to the playoffs after going 57 wins and 25 losses in the regular season. The teams first round matchup will be against the Atlanta Hawks, who went .500 in the regular season, 41 wins and 41 losses.

Celtics fan, SWHS junior Zach Bossie said, “The Celtics are looking strong and deep this year; I see them going far in the playoffs.” The Celtics are a dangerous team this year, led by their two stars Jason Tatum who averaged 30.1 points per game this season and Jalen Brown who averaged 26.6 points per game this season. These two have been unstoppable together all season and will leave a huge impact on how the Celtics fare in their playoff run.

Hawks fan, SWHS junior Sam Czaja added to the conversation: “The Hawks are underrated; they have the players to pull through this series.” With stars just like the Celtics, the Hawks have some incredible players, the best being all star Trae Young. Young averaged an impressive 26.2 points per game. He seems to be the one player who has potential to really quiet down the Celtics star power.

The Celtics like to run the ball through their top players and entrust them to make most of the big plays for the team throughout the game, and, through this point, the Hawks have struggled to stop this.

This has been a great back-to-back series between the two teams, with the Celtics taking games one, two, and four, and the Hawks taking game three and game five so far. The fifth game was decided by a three pointer in the final seconds by Hawks player Trae Young.

The Celtics look to have a strong performance and win game six to keep it rolling throughout the playoffs. Their potential matchup in the second round is a tough opponent, the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers had an easy sweep against the Nets in the first round.
