This album won Wallen the Academy of Country Music for Album of the Year, Billboard Music Award for Top Country Album and iHeartRadio Music Award for Country Album of the Year. Some of the most popular songs on the ” Dangerous: The Double Album” included:

The picture featured as the album cover for “One Thing at a Time” is a picture of Wallen outside his late “Mamaws’ (grandmother’s) house, in Sneedville, Tennessee.  In which Wallen commented, “My Mamaw Boots helped raise me. I had such a special bond with her, so I wanted to honor her with this new record”.

Morgan Wallen grew up in a small town outside of Knoxville, called Sneedville, Tennessee. Famously, he has mentioned his hometown in his song, “Rednecks, Red Letters, Red Dirt” and “One light, One bar, One Church”. Growing up Wallen said he idolized his now close friend Eric Church. Wallen also sung in his local church choir. Before Wallen got into music industry, he was a successful high school baseball player until an injury caused him to have to quit playing baseball, and he worked for a landscaping company out of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Before the flash of fame, 20 year old Morgan Wallen auditioned for the hit show, “The Voice” in season 6, back in 2014. On “The Voice”, Wallen made it all the way to the playoffs, but was eliminated by audience votes. Ironically, it was the first country song he had preformed during his time on “The Voice” that ultimately catapulted him to fame.

But Wallen has had a controversial past. At one point he was taken off the radio, and had performances cancelled. Wallen has continued to make a name for himself, and continues to be one of the fastest growing artists in the music industry.

With Morgan Wallen’s upcoming “One Night at a Time” tour starting March 15th, just a couple of weeks after his release of his new album, Wallen is sure to bring in the crowds, as well as the streams.
