SWHS Presents: The Giver
This Friday, November 18, at 7pm, the curtains will open to the much anticipated SWHS rendition of The Giver. While tickets have been going fast, there are still plenty available for you and all your friends.
The book, written by Lois Lowry, is the fictional story of a boy stuck in a dystopian society where sameness is desired. The main character, played by Jerome Arunkumar, learns life can be different and wants to break free from his society.
The play is being performed by 12 students, with an additional 7 working as a tech crew.
“The play offers the audience a chance to think about how we should treasure our individuality and take care of each other,” Mrs. White, an English teacher and the play’s director, told The Prowl.
Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the door or during lunch this week from the crew and cast.
