June 5, 2020
As young kids, most of the teenage population watched cartoons and one of the most popular cartoons or animes was Avatar: The Last Airbender. Once the show stopped airing, there was no way to watch it. The streaming service, Netflix, has given all teenagers a throwback to childhood by putting Avatar: The Last Airbender on their tv shows list. Once the show was up, it skyrocketed into the top 10 shows in the U.S. today coming in at number four.
For teenagers, this is a blast into the past and a very exciting one because not remembering much as a kid has now been changed to knowing it all. The show is very exciting and full of action-packed adventures nonstop. Avatar: The Last Airbender has a big plot behind it as well and each episode is different. The plot is based upon one individual, the Avatar, who masters four elements; Water, Earth, Fire, and Air. The Avatar must defeat the fire nation that has attacked the world for 100 years. The plot is very unique and keeps the audience going throughout all three seasons.
The show is dedicated to the last air bender which happens to be the Avatar. The Avatar is the only person in the world that can master all four of the elements. Along his journey, he has some water bending friends and eventually meets an earth bending master named Toff. These people teach Aang water and earth bending. Unfortunately, Aang struggles to learn fire bending because there is no one to help him because everyone in the fire nation is there to kill him so that the fire nation can take over the world.
The show is a must-watch while it is still available on Netflix. As it has reached the top 10 on Netflix and will most likely stay that way for a while. Avatar: The Last Airbender isn’t just an action-packed animation but also surrounded by life lessons along the way as the show is intended for a younger audience. However, this show is a fun ride and keeps everyone paying attention to every moment.
