Disney+ Celebrates Star Wars Day

Star Wars had a big Star Wars day this year. Every year Star Wars fans and movie stars come together to celebrate the history of the movies and the series of shows on May 4th. So on Monday Disney plus had a big day.
Disney plus released the Rise of Skywalker which was the ninth and final movie of the Skywalker saga, added to the streaming service. Along with that Disney plus also had its final episode of Star Wars the Clone Wars ever, as well as a documentary from season 1 of the Mandalorian.
Star Wars the Clone Wars have been running for seven seasons however now that the series reached the beginning of order 66 there is no need to continue because it’s leaving off of Revenge of the Sith when they showed in the movie order 66.
Last year the Mandalorian debuted on Disney Plus where it had a lot of success. Many are excited for season two which will be coming out in November. Along with the Mandalorian there are two other theories that are planned for Disney Plus. One of the new series is about Obi Wan Kenobi played by, Ewan McGregor. The other series will be about Cassian from Rogue One:A Star Wars Story.
According to Variety, Disney plus is reportedly working on a female show for Star Wars. However there is no more information than that at this point.
Throughout the years Star Wars has been growing more and more popular and became one of the world’s most iconic movies.The Next Star Wars movie is expected to come out in 2022 to begin a new saga. The president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy spoke about Rian Joshnson the director of The Last Jedi and will also be the director for the new trilogy, “We all loved working with Rian on The Last Jedi, … He’s a creative force, and watching him craft The Last Jedi from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career. Rian will do amazing things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy.” There really isn’t any information about the new trilogy at all but all we know is that Johnson will be the director.
The future of Star Wars remains bright as they look to bring in new fans for the number of knew series and movies to come.
