January 11, 2019
Midterms are coming up sooner than you may think. It is important to take time to study and prepare. Here are some study tips I have for you:
- Do the reviews teachers give you
- Study with friends or people who have already taken the class
- Stay after with teachers
- Go to review session held by older students or teachers
- Get review books for AP classes
- Flashcards
- Quizlet
- Read the textbook
This couple of weeks can be super stressful so it’s important to take care of yourself physically and mentally. Here are some tips for doing so:
- Drink tea and lots of water
- Get sleep, do not try to stay up all night
- Eat healthy
- Get active to relieve stress
- Do NOT push yourself past your limits
- Spread out your studying so you do not get overwhelmed or try to cram in too much information
Midterms can be partially confusing especially for freshmen. Starting on Friday, January 18th, the midterm days start. On this Friday you have period 1 exam followed by a full day of school. From Tuesday through Friday of the following week is the rest of the exams. There is two exams a day. They run from 7:25-9:20 and 9:25-11:20. After you take your two exams you can go home so it is basically a half day. You can spend the rest of your day studying for your next exams. If you have a study hall or do not have an exam for whatever reason you do not have to come in for that period.
Do not let midterms stress you out. Prepare for them and you will be just fine!
