Daniel Hernandez, 22, better known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, was arrested for firearm and racketeering charges along with three other associates this past week. According to the New York Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, the four were in federal custody on Monday and were arrested late that night on Sunday. The people affiliated with Tekashi were legally identified as Kifano Jordan, Jensel Butler, and Faheem Walter. But the men go by their more popular names of Shotti, Ish, and Crippy. Walter, aka Crippy, was also identified as the man who got shot a few weeks back in an altercation that occurred with the head of 6ix9ine’s record label.

This case has been kept under the radar, many details about Tekashi and the associates involved are still unknown. The rapper’s arraignment in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York has been scheduled for Monday afternoon. Furthermore, Tekashi had previously been given a plea deal on Wednesday in a different case that is believed to deal with the assault of a New York Police Department officer. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge but was told that he needed to stay clean from any kind of trouble or crime for one year in order to avoid jail time.

6ix9ine is also currently on probation for his 2015 sexual misconduct case that involved a 13-year-old, which is his biggest offense known to date. He is a member of a sect of the Bloods called the “Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods” known to be very violent. A prosecutor stated, “The purposes of the Enterprise included preserving and protecting the power, territory, and profits of the Enterprise through acts involving murder… and threats of violence.” The judge who granted him the privilege of probation had received a lot of backlash from the public due to their serious concerns about sending a child predator back out into the world. But, the judge allegedly told Tekashi to shape up and keep his nose clean or he would go straight to prison. With the rapper’s recent endeavors, it’s hard to say whether or not he will walk a free man any longer.
