This past Saturday October 4th, 2025, the Apple Fest returned to South Windsor at 75 Brookfield St for its annual celebration of the end of summer and the coming of fall. Vendors, food trucks, and other local organizations and businesses came to create a fun and enjoyable time.
Representatives from the police department and fire department were also present, adding to the fun and excitement.
“My favorite part of the Apple Fest was seeing all the vendors as well as the fire safety trailer.” Fire Explorer, Kevin Pina said.
It’s no secret that the vendors are the heart of the Apple Fest, and the public reciprocated that as well.
“I really like the culture surrounding the Apple Fest because there’s a lot of local vendors coming and selling what they have as products.” Bobcat Robotics Team member, Rishi Murali said.
Some vendors that stood out include the town favorite Apple Cider Donuts stand that is present at many local events

throughout the year. In addition, the Bussa Orchard apple vendor proved very popular, selling fresh and local apples from Bussa Orchards fresh apples in Glastonbury. Connecticut Valley Brewing was another town favorite, selling their local made products for festival visitors to enjoy.
Volunteers had their fair share of fun too, enjoying being able to spend time with their friends while simultaneously helping the community.
“I liked volunteering with my friends and walking around and seeing all the vendors.” Fire Explorer Brayden Berson, said.
As expected, the South Windsor Fire Department’s Fire Safety Trailer was present at the event, providing interactive fire safety presentations for the duration of the fest. The Fire Explorer Post put on engaging but informative presentations for all ages to participate in.
To top it all off, the Apple Fest’s famous apple pie was of course present. For $5, visitors could buy a ticket for a slice of apple pie.
Let’s not overlook representatives from South Windsor High School, however. The Bobcat Robotics team had a spot among the vendors, showing off projects they;ve worked extensively on for the public to see.
In addition, the Bobcat Youth Wrestling team had a stand nearby, promoting the youth to consider wrestling as the winter season approaches.
It is obvious that the Apple Fest has a lot to offer, leaving South Windsor excited for its return next year, leaving room for a whole new batch of vendors and local products for the community to enjoy.
