As the senior year comes to a close, the senior class has arranged different activities for themselves, including a decision day breakfast tailgate.
During this event, the Class of 2025 wore their future college gear and got to school early in the morning to share breakfast together in the parking lot. This event served as a way to celebrate the ending of their high school years and the start of new beginnings elsewhere.
The tailgate occurred on Wednesday, May 28th, in the main student parking lot. This event was exclusively for seniors, which made it so special for them. In years past, the senior class celebrated with making their own food on campus in the lot, bringing food, eating together and taking pictures and videos to remember the moment.
With lots of events such as outing, reception and graduation coming up, the senior class agrees that this event is another they have looked forward to.
“Decision day is important to me because it determines my future and where I’m going to be staying,” said senior Kayla Bolling.
By being able to highlight her accomplishments with the rest of the graduating class, it gives a sense of accomplishment and also makes the future feel real by claiming to be yours publicly.
Others think this day is a day of unity, and is another chance for the whole graduating class to come together.
Senior Megan Rivard told The Prowl, “I’m excited for decision day because it’s one of the last chances for us to come together as a grade, and celebrate the last few weeks before we all move off to college.”
Getting through the trials and tribulations of senior year is hard for anyone, and Rivard makes it clear that this event is one of the first of many to relieve that stress, and celebrate the good fortune that is to come for the future of The Class of 2025.
Even after the tailgate, seniors have many more opportunities to celebrate their accomplishments together and look forward to their future careers. Whether it is going back to school, entering the workforce or learning a trade, everyone has a path and a goal, which the senior class is looking forward to starting after graduation.
