Recently, South Windsor has welcomed Club Studio to Evergreen Walk which was formerly known by residents as LA Fitness. This exclusive gym has officially opened its doors to new members offering all the freshly built facilities, services, and classes.
Slowly but surely, Club Studio has been integrating West Coast style exercise classes into South Windsor’s small town atmosphere. The four main classes available are reformer Pilates, CS4 (cardio and strength), cycling, boxing, and sweat.
Besides the classes, Club Studio also provides a weight area, cardio deck, lap pool, basketball court and turf area for personalized training, which are all included in the membership. Additionally, any interested membership holders can sign up for a personalized trainer who will build a workout and nutrition plan around the individual’s personal goals.
Club Studio not only prioritizes the fitness of members but also their wellness and recovery. Their membership plans are flexible, which allows you to customize your membership with other accommodations.
“Club Studio is different from other gyms because it has many more add-ons like salt room saunas, cryotherapy, massage chairs, red light therapy, [and] facials,” South Windsor High School senior Aida Abaza explained.
Abaza has been attending Club Studio since it’s opening and told The Prowl that her favorite thing to do at the gym is “using the saunas, working out, or using the red light therapy.”
On the other hand, some people feel that the membership fees at the new gym are too expensive and not worth the cost, especially when more affordable options like Big Sky or Planet Fitness are available.
South Windsor High School math teacher and current Big Sky member, Mr. Matthew Eppler, told The Prowl that “although there are many nice things about Club Studio, and it offers a variety of classes, the initial membership level starts at 7 times my current monthly dues.”
Other members see the higher cost as an investment in their health and wellness. In fact, the expense can serve as motivation to use the gym more regularly and get the most value out of their membership.
“The cost of the membership is a big motivational factor because since the cost motivates you to go more so you’re not wasting your money,” South Windsor High School student Sierra Ferrabelo commented.
While Club Studio has its pros and cons, one thing is clear—many members are already seeing real results. With the potential to boost productivity, improve physical wellness, and even enhance overall happiness, it’s easy to see the appeal. In the end, only time will tell if Club Studio proves to be a lasting investment for South Windsor residents.
