There are tons of great holiday movies that will without a doubt get you in the holiday spirit this season. Here are just a few of the best:

Elf (2003):

The classic comedic holiday film, Elf, starring Will Ferrell is a great movie choice if you’re interested in watching something entertaining and full of laughs. According to IMDB, “After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity.” If you haven’t yet seen this widely popular movie, be sure to add that to your list of holiday movies to watch before this holiday season comes to an end.

Home Alone (1990):

Home Alone is another classic film that is very widely known, and has been around since 1990. This movie focuses on an eight year old boy who is accidentally left home alone by his family during Christmas vacation. The little troublemaker sets traps in order to protect his house from a couple of robbers. This movie is sure to keep you entertained and laughing with your family this holiday season.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000):

How the Grinch Stole Christmas has been around for quite a long time, with many different renditions of Dr. Seuss’ book, also titled How the Grinch Stole Christmas. In this movie, a grumpy guy (the Grinch) hatched a plan in order to ruin Christmas for all of the Whos in the town of Whoville. The Grinch decided that he would dress up as Santa Claus and steal all of the Christmas presents, trees, decorations, and more, in hopes that everyone would wake up on Christmas morning as miserable as he was. However, when all of the Whos woke up on Christmas morning without their presents, they were still happy and enjoying Christmas because they were with all of their friends and family in Whoville. This caused the Grinch to come to the realization that Christmas isn’t about the gifts, but about spending time with the people that you love. This classic children’s movie is great for all ages, and teaches children, or anyone, a great lesson about the true meaning of Christmas.
