Junior Hayden Xhokaxhiu is a talented student athlete who takes pride in his work on and off the field.
Xhokaxhiu is a midfielder and striker for the South Windsor High School Boys Varsity Soccer team. This will be his 10th year playing soccer overall. When he’s not playing with the Bobcats, he plays for FSA.
Xhokaxhiu works hard motivating his teammates any chance he gets. One of his passions is competing, which he loves doing, especially with the Bobcats.
Last year, Xhokaxhiu had a record of 14 goals, and 2 assists in 13 games, while this year his record so far is 5 assists and 1 goal in the season.
¨Hayden is a strong working individual who always strives to make sure the team is always confident,¨ senior Tyler Romero stated.
When not in school and not playing soccer, Xhokaxhiu enjoys spending time with friends and family. However, he also enjoys practicing soccer drills whenever he can and is always striving to improve his skills.
¨Playing soccer helps me take my mind off things going on in the real world and is something I enjoy doing when I’m bored,¨ Xhokaxhiu stated.
Xhokaxhiu gets along well with his teammates and doesn’t just see them as teammates, but more as family instead.
Xhokaxhiu was inspired to start his journey in soccer because a lot of his friends were playing, but what really kicked his gears into start was Ricardo Kaka – a famous Brazilian soccer player who he is inspired to be like. Xhokaxhiu always tries to match his playing style whenever possible.
¨He is a great leader and has always been there for everybody and will never stop playing hard no matter the score, senior Fab Ponce told The Prowl.
The Bobcats have a record of 3-4 so far in their season. Their next game is at Lewis Mills High School on Tuesday September 24th at 4:45.
