Last Sunday, the annual Grammy Awards took place in California. The show is anticipated all year and many artists hope to be awarded this great honor. The awards show is a combination of presentations of the awards as well as artists performing for entertainment. The celebrities all sit together towards the front of the auditorium, anyone nominated tends to sit towards the end of rows for easy access to the stage.

Two Connecticut resident, Heather Walsh and Andy Durand won tickets to the Grammy Awards and attended last weekend. Walsh won the tickets by calling into a radio station and answering a question correctly. When Walsh answered the question correctly, she was then “informed that I’d be entered into the drawing for the grand prize, the trip to the Grammys.”  Walsh did not expect to win the trip but was still hopeful. “Two weeks later I got a call saying I had won!” Upon receiving this call, Walsh and Durand were in complete shock and did not believe that it was true.

After attending the show, Walsh and Durand continued to share about their experiences. They were both surprised at the seats. They had expected to be seated very far away but “the tickets were for decent seats. We were up on a higher level but front row seats and great views of everything.” They were there simply to enjoy the show and were not so focused on bothering the celebrities. The tickets included “access to after parties but we chose not to go and to instead went to grab dinner.”

Walsh continued to talk about the awards and shared that “the performances were my favorite part of the show! They did a great job of putting on a good show and keeping the crowd entertained.” Walsh would love to attend again if ever given the opportunity!
